North Bay Air Cooled, Vacaville Volkswagen, and Skinner Classics raise money for a good cause!

On September 10th, North Bay Air Cooled held its first annual VW car show at Vacaville Volkswagen.  The show was an amazing success with 102 registered cars showing!  Over 40 handmade trophies given away, as well as $2,500 in cash prizes for “Best in show”, “2nd Place”, and “People’s Choice”.

This show was a fundraiser for the Vacaville Neighborhood Boys and Girls Club. Today, we were able to present the Vacaville Neighborhood Boys and Girls Club with a check for $5,159.69!

Thank you to everyone who volunteered, donated, and sponsored this event.  We are looking forward to raising even more money next year for this amazing organization!

When the bell rings, schools are out but the Vacaville Neighborhood Boys and Girls Clubs (VNBGC) are in. Unfortunately, 1/3 of Vacaville’s kids have no place to go leaving them at risk of being unsupervised, unguided, and unsafe. The definition of “at risk” is no longer defined as just low income or underserved youths. We know all too well that children in middle and upper income families deal with just as many social and personal issues.

Ensuring a safe, productive place for kids to spend out-of-school time is vital. Their goal at The Vacaville Neighborhood Boys & Girls Club is to inspire youth to believe in themselves and to enhance their lives through the programs brought to them by their compassionate staff. VNBGC provide Vacaville’s youth with life-changing programs that develop a desire for learning and believe that every young person deserves a great future.

The car show yesterday was a huge success.  We had 102 registered cars participating in the show and everyone had a great time!  An event like this took a lot of time and effort.  North Bay Air Cooled would like to say thank you to:

Thank you to Jennifer Medina and Buckhorn Grill for organizing food and refreshments for the event!  Everyone was well fed and happy!

Thank you to Jennie Stevens for both running our registration table allow us to get 102 cars registered quickly.  An even bigger thank you for helping us with out non-profit paperwork.  This both allowed us to financially hold then event, but her hard work also saved us thousands in consulting fees!

Thank you the Howell Mountain Boys, and The Rebobs for playing at the event and entertaining everyone.

NBAC also would like to give a very special thank you to Kerri & Steve Schillinger.  With out them, this event wouldn’t have happened.  They were instrumental in leading the charge, and working with everyone involved to ensure that no detail was missed.

In the coming week, we will be announcing how much we raised to donate to the Vacaville Neighborhood Boys and Girls Club.  They are a great organization and have been servicing the Vacaville Community since 2001.  NBAC is happy to support them.

Lastly, thank you to EVERYONE who attended.  Wether you were showing a car, or just stopped by to enjoy the event, your attendance and participation made this show a success.
